1. All faculty, staff, and students who test positive for COVID-19 are required to self-report to the College upon receiving notification of a positive result.
2. The faculty, staff, or student who is COVID-19 positive is responsible for notifying any individuals they were in close contact with and were potentially exposed to COVID-19.  The College is not conducting contact tracing.
3. Individuals who test positive or have been exposed to COVID-19 should follow the CDC guidance on COVID-19 and complete the for clear directions.
4. COVID-19 testing is not available on campus. Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for their own COVID-19 testing off-campus.  The Rowan County Health Department provides a . Rapid, home tests are acceptable to confirm COVID-19.  You should check with your insurance provider on their current coverage for COVID-19 testing.
5. Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for notification to their supervisor (employee or student worker) and/or faculty if isolation is required. The College will not complete this on your behalf.

1. The College does not have designated isolation and quarantine spaces on campus. It is not possible to isolate on campus, nor can it be accommodated.  All residential students should develop a plan now to relocate off-campus if they test positive for COVID-19 or contract any other communicable disease during the academic year.  These plans should include any travel/transportation needs off-campus, a location to isolate (legal/home residence, relative/friend, hotel), and any needed arrangements for meals. The College is not responsible for your transportation, accommodation, or any meal needs during your isolation period.  Your isolation period is designated by the CDC based on several factors for COVID-19, and you should follow the guidance based on the calculator provided by the CDC.  
2. Should expenses occur due to off-campus isolation, students can complete the Emergency Support Fund request. The committee will determine any valid expenses for reimbursement and, if approved, the student will be promptly notified.

The College no longer requires the COVID-19 vaccination, but we still highly recommend that each community member be vaccinated and current on any available boosters for COVID-19.

Masks are no longer required in indoor or outdoor spaces on campus, or at campus events. Anyone who has symptoms, a positive test or exposure to someone with COVID-19 must wear a mask. 

Anyone who decides to continue wearing a face mask should be permitted to do so free of any criticism, judgement, or retaliation. If you are at high risk for complications, you are still strongly encouraged to wear a mask.

Anyone who experiences harassment or retaliation for choosing to wear a mask should report the incident to Laura Gilland, Director of Student Conduct (for students), or Leigh Ellington, Human Resources Director (for employees).
