Favorite Places to Relax
Here are some of Catawba's favorite places to relax and chill:

Stanback Plaza & Hedrick Terrace
With solar havens, tables and chairs, tiered seating, a fountain, and plenty of sun or shade, Stanback Plaza is ideally located in the heart of campus.

Chapel Circle
The circle, lawn, and grounds of Omwake-Dearborn Chapel are a favorite destination for a walk or break, always providing some of Catawba's most beautiful views.

Abernethy Quad
Whether you prefer sun or shade, Abernethy Quadrangle is a great place to chill, read a book, play cornhole, or just kick back and relax on the lawn adjacent to S-R Hall, the student center, and Abernethy Village.

At the Beach (Courts)
Kick off your shoes and enjoy a little sand between your toes while you take a breather at the beach volleyball courts in the Pridgen Intramurals Area. Or, if time permits, shoot some hoops on the basketball court nearby.

Oliver's Way
Take a stroll down to Oliver's Way for a moment of serene beauty filled with indigenous plants and grass and graced by a tall central fountain and benches.

Library
Corriher-Linn-Black Library is full of wonderful places to kick back and find some quiet time. Outfitted with comfy, portable furniture where you can work, read, or chill, the library is always a good bet!
